Ton Duc Thang University Establishes Three Additional Strong Research Groups
On June 17, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) announced the establishment of three additional strong interdisciplinary research groups, including the Environmental Technology and Bioremediation Research Group (Faculty of Environment and Labour Safety), the Innovation in Sustainability Analytics and Governance for Enterprises Research Group (Faculty of Accounting), and the Society, Culture and Development Research Group (Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities).
With the addition of these three new groups, TDTU now has 13 strong research groups working in various key fields. These groups serve as a driving force in developing the University’s research capacity, fostering interdisciplinary research, improving the quality of scientific output, and enhancing the transfer of knowledge and technology to the community and society.
TDTU’s strong research groups have been developed from the University’s existing research groups and laboratories, bringing together distinguished scholars from Vietnam and abroad under the leadership of leading professors, associate professors, and experts with doctoral degrees in their respective fields. These groups provide an important foundation for advancing interdisciplinary research, increasing international publications, promoting technology transfer, and progressively developing centers of excellence in research.
At present, TDTU’s 13 strong research groups are engaged in research across a broad spectrum of strategic disciplines, including mathematics, biophysics, advanced materials, intelligent technologies, pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical sciences, civil engineering, natural language processing, economics and management, environmental technology, sustainable business management, and the social sciences.
Through the expansion of its strong research group system, TDTU continues to reaffirm its commitment to sustainable scientific research development, placing academic quality, innovation, and practical impact at the center of its strategy. This commitment contributes to enhancing the quality of education and creating meaningful value for the community and society.
